Reusable Water Doodle Mat - Mess-Free Magic Drawing

The first time, most children stop after one line and look at you: where did the colour come from? Then they cover the whole surface with circles, faces and scribbles, wait a few minutes for it to fade, and start again. No ink, no felt tips on the sofa, just water.

How the water pen mat works

Fill the pen with clean water, screw the top back on and draw. Wherever the tip touches the fabric, the colour shows through; as the water evaporates, the drawing disappears. Your child can pass the pen over the same spot again and again, which makes it easy to practise lines, loops and first letters without worrying about mistakes.

Often called a doodlemat, it is a drawing toy you can hand over in the back seat without a second thought: the worst that can happen is a drop of water. Once the game is over, empty the tank, let the mat dry flat and fold or roll it away.

Choosing the right drawing mat size

• 16.5 x 25 cm: a small travel pad for restaurant tables and visits to family.
• 20 x 30 cm: a table format for one child at a time.
• 90 x 120 cm: a large doodle mat laid on the floor, where two or three children can draw side by side or a toddler sibling can watch.
